About: MATEC Ohio - Cincinnati is one of two MATEC offices in the state and is housed in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Funding from the AIDS Educational Training Center grant provides for participation in the HIV Practice Transformation Project, Clinician Scholars Program, as well as educational programs for medical professionals. We partner with a variety of local organizations, such as: Caracole, Equitas Health, and state and county health departments, to fulfill the needs of our healthcare professionals throughout the state.
Other HRSA-funded activities include the Midwest Integration of the National HIV Curriculum, the HIV Interprofessional Education Project at the University of Cincinnati, and work towards Ending the HIV Epidemic. We also receive funding from the Ohio Department of Health, which supports educational programs for those living with and at risk of HIV, HIV professionals, and medical professionals.
