Midwest Integration of the National HIV Curriculum

Overview

The Midwest Integration of the National HIV Curriculum (MINHC) project is
funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration to integrate
the National HIV Curriculum (NHC) e-learning platform into accredited
health professions programs (HPPs). Developed by the University of
Washington, the NHC is an e-learning platform for novice-to-expert health
professionals, students, and faculty. For more information you can visit the

Activities

MINHC (2018-2022) - During the first cycle, MATEC worked with the
following 23 HPPs of medicine, nursing, and pharmacy from 16 academic
institutions throughout its 10-state region:

MINHC (2022-2027) - MATEC was awarded additional funding to continue
and expand upon the work of MINHC. The following 24 HPPs of medicine,
nursing, and pharmacy as well as residency programs of dentistry and
family medicine from 19 academic institution were recruited from the 57 EHE Jurisdictions to participate in this second cycle of the project:

MINHC Faculty Manual - By clicking the image below you can access the MINHC Faculty Manual, which was created as an outcome from the first cycle of MINHC. This document was created to assist the newest cohort of HPP faculty with integrating the NHC into their existing curricula and includes step by step instructions, best practices, links to overview videos, and editable PowerPoint slides. Although created with the participating programs in mind, anyone interested in integrating the NHC content into their program's curricula could benefit from this resource.
