In March 2022, MATEC collaborated with the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) to present “Coming Home: Women, Race, Social Justice & HIV” virtual conference on National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. With the support of the RWHAP-funded Black Women First Initiative, AFC, one of the research and demonstration sites of the HRSA project) and MATEC curated a virtual learning experience that centered voices from the community of justice-involved Black women with HIV.
